Shaft seal
West Mekan designs and supplies shaft sealing solutions for several types of propeller systems and stern tubes, ensuring reliable sealing and long service life in demanding marine environments, limited by shaft diameter of 90 mm shaft.
Our standard shaft seals feature grease-lubricated packing rings, optional oil lubricated, providing dependable sealing while minimizing friction, wear and maintenance requirements.
The shaft seal is normally supplied with a flexible hose and hose clamps or with a custom-designed rigid stern tube, depending on the vessel's installation requirements. For installations with limited accessibility, the grease cup can be remotely mounted using a flexible hose, simplifying routine maintenance.
