Fixed Pitch Propellers (FP)

Fixed pitch propellers are the simplest, most efficient and cost-effective solution for the majority of vessels. Individually designed to match each vessel's operating profile, they deliver outstanding propulsion efficiency, reliability and low maintenance throughout their service life.

Compared with fixed adjustable pitch propellers, a fixed pitch propeller typically offers higher efficiency, lower purchase costs and reduced maintenance requirements. However, it does not provide the operational flexibility of a controllable pitch propeller (CPP). The optimal choice depends on the vessel's operating profile, manoeuvring requirements and propulsion system.

West Mekan stocks propellers in sizes from 12 to 24 inches, available in both right- and left-hand rotation, with 3 or 4 blades, with or without skew.

For larger applications, every propeller is individually designed and optimized according to the vessel's specifications. We supply propellers with diameters of up to 3 metres and 2–6 blades, manufactured to the highest tolerance classes for maximum performance and reliability.
