Shaft bearings
West Mekan supplies water-lubricated shaft bearings from leading manufacturers, carefully selected to provide low friction, reliable operation and long service life in demanding marine environments.
We offer a wide range of rubber and synthetic bearings, available with various shell and bearing materials to suit different vessel types and operating conditions. Bearings are stocked in standard metric sizes from 25 to 100 mm, as well as selected imperial sizes, while larger sizes up to 300 mm are available on request.
Regular replacement of shaft bearings helps maintain optimum propulsion performance by reducing vibration, noise and wear, while protecting the propeller shaft and stern tube from unnecessary weart/damage and extends the service life of the propulsion system.
