CP-EHW System
Type CP-EHW – controllable pitch propeller
The WM CP-EHW(S) is a controllable pitch propeller system designed for use with standard gearboxes without an integrated servo unit. The (S) version features a fully feathering propeller, making it particularly well suited for sailing yachts and other vessels where minimum drag during sailing is essential.
Pitch is adjusted hydraulically through a mechanical actuator connected to the propeller hub via a control rod inside the propeller shaft. The system provides smooth and precise pitch adjustment from full reverse to maximum ahead, ensuring efficient propulsion and excellent vessel handling across a wide range of operating conditions.
A key advantage of the WM CP-EHW(S) is its self-locking pitch mechanism, which maintains the selected blade angle even when hydraulic pressure is unavailable. This makes the system especially suitable for sailing vessels, as the propeller remains fully feathered without continuous hydraulic pressure or the need for a shaft brake.
The system is compatible with virtually all propulsion arrangements, including diesel, hybrid and electric drivetrains. It can also be supplied with the pitch control unit mounted in front of the gearbox where required.

For vessels requiring extremely rapid pitch response and continuous manoeuvring, such as harbour craft or workboats, we recommend the WM CP-HE system.
